Josy Svajda

Josy Svajda is a composer for film and television, a singer-songwriter, and vocalist from Austria.  Her love for music for film brought her to Los Angeles to study film scoring at UCLA and she went on to work at Hans Zimmer’s Remote Control and Bleeding Fingers.

Her work has aired on The Simpsons, the Netflix film The Package, and her own feature film, Rot, screened at the Nashville Film Festival.  She writes music for German nature documentaries and for several music libraries.

Josy’s music is inspired by futuristic as well as archaic, ancient elements, creating musical depth, with a touch of mystery, and epic builds.  She incorporates her vocals in creative ways, informed by traditional and ethnic vocal lines.
