Cali Wang

Born in Los Angeles and raised in Taipei, Taiwan, Cali worked on various TV series, commercials and short films in Taiwan.  When she was awarded the John Nordstrom Scholarship, she moved back to Los Angeles to attend the USC Thornton's Masters of Music Program in Screen Scoring. 


Cali's compositions cover a variety of genres, from orchestral scores to industrial/electronic sound design. She is passionate about exploring the creative possibilities of media composition and continues to expand her horizons as a part of the exciting film industry in Los Angeles. 

She is working on various film projects in Los Angeles, as well as collaborating with a number of other composers. Her recent credits include, but are not limited to Cake Bomb (2021),  starring Renate Reinsve and directed by Alexi Tan, and Apple TV's Home (2022), co-composed  with ASKA. Cali worked on several game projects with Blizzard Entertainment, where she assisted music productions for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands (2020) and Overwatch II.


Cali received several awards throughout the past years, including 2023’s Daytime Emmy Nomination for HOME:S2 (2022), 2018’s BMI Pete Carpenter Fellowship, 2020's Krakow Film Music Festival's Young Talent Award Top 10 Selection, and 2021's New Music/SESAC Reel Change Foundation Awardee. She also won Best Score for her short film, A Deep Breath.
