Ellie Cumming
Ellie began her classical musical journey at the age of six, received her degree in music composition at the West Australian Academy of the Performing Arts (WAAPA) was awarded the inaugural ‘Dr. Harold Schenberg Music Prize', received a scholarship to study in the United States of America, and continued her studies at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS), writing music for several short films and documentaries.
As a composer for film, television at Jigsaw Music, she worked on several international films, including, "Peter Rabbit", "Lego Batman", "Gods of Egypt", "Spacebear", "Jasper Jones", "Opus locen Season 4", and "Lego Ninjago".
Her work on stage productions and dance includes "Conchita", "SYO IGNITE Symphonic Dance for VIVID Sydney" and "Muriel's Wedding: The Musical", Digger's Requiem (in collaboration with the Australian War Memorial), Symphony of Australia, The Flowers of War and Spiritworks, and Christopher Gordon's orchestral work for Graeme Murphy's ballet, “Giselle and the Wriath Queen”, which premiered in Seoul, South Korea.
